Club Meeting January 2, 2010

  1. Officers for 2010 were "elected". See Officers page for details.
  2. Members discussed option to pay dues online. Paypal account has been setup, and will be tested (resources permitted) before the next dues cycle.
  3. Members discussed the Heli Fun Fly. Scheduled to take place February 26-28, 2010. Plan for 60 attendees. Discussed T-Shirts. Steve L to check on possibilities.
  4. Sound system was discussed. Club has rented sound system for 5 years, and spend much more than a used system might cost. Chris Hallinan agreed to look into obtaining one. Members agreed on a $600 budget.
  5. Members discussed need for instructors. Dave Lewis and Dennis agreed to provide support to new student flyers. A link on the web site should point to contact info for new modelers to contact an instructor.
  6. Members discussed a new sign. Officers to investigate and report back costs estimates.
  7. Repairs to the Cub will be deferred until after the fun fly.
  8. Trash - members discussed the trash situation on the field. Please take out your own trash!
  9. Club Newsletter - Chris volunteered to provide brief business updates (like this meeting notes) and to format and distribute the newsletter, if others would step up to providing some additional content. Let's see if we can't get this kicked off!
